In America the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau defines vodka as a spirit “without distinctive character aroma taste or colour”. Belvedere has been bucking that trend with their rich and complex Polish rye vodka for many years. Now they’ve gone a step further by creating a flavoured range that will challenge the ever-popular gin category.
Organic Infusions are Belvedere’s first organic-certified spirits ensuring that they are created with ingredients that are farmed without artificial pesticides additives or chemicals. The Pear & Ginger expression also has a drop of linden (lime tree) honey. The crunchy pear essence spicy ginger and balancing floral sweetness combine beautifully accompanied by spicy notes that remind us of festive gingerbread and a luscious mouthfeel from the rich honey. Sip it neat as you would any top-flight vodka top it with soda or tonic water or mix it into your favourite cocktail or spritz.
Considered by many to be the original super-premium vodka Belvedere is made at the Polmos Zyrardów distillery which was constructed in 1910. They only use superior grade Polish rye and water from their own source. Despite this purity the resulting vodka always has great character displaying the subtle sweetness of vanilla a creamy texture and a frisson of pepper spice and toasted nuts. It’s unsurprising that the International Spirits Challenge crowned Belvedere and their owners LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) “Vodka Producer of the Year” in 2015 2016 2017 and 2021.
