Stella is one of the brightest stars in Bottega’s sparkling wine range.
The eye-catching bottle depicts the constellations and that would be enough for most wines but not a superstar like this. Flip a switch at the base of the bottle and the contents are lit up causing the cut-out stars to dazzle and shine. What’s more the light show has different settings allowing the stars to flash for added drama. And all that is before we even get on to the contents…
Think of Stella as Prosecco meets Champagne. It’s crafted using the famous Prosecco grape Glera and the classic Champagne varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The white grapes come from Veneto and are vinified in a Prosecco style providing crisp apple and bright citrus nuances laced with floral high notes. The Pinot Noir component comes from Lombardy and undergoes extended ageing on the lees (the spent yeast) imparting some of the creaminess and yeasty bread crust flavours one more associated with Champagne. Open this at parties and gatherings that go on into the night and it’s guaranteed to be the star of the show.
Mighty oaks from little acorns grow. In 1653 Andrea Bottega tended his first vines near the picturesque Molinetto della Croda in Refrontolo Veneto. This farmer’s dream blossomed into one of Italy’s most recognisable brands producing a dizzying array of glamorous Prosecco Moscato Grappa liqueurs and spirits. Today with hundreds of awards under its belt the Bottega name is known and loved in 132 countries around the globe.
