The famous Italian Bitter Liqueur has been given the most sensational twist for this limited-edition rare collection. A remarkable trio of expressions evoking tales from across the globe, Campari Cask® Tales sees the iconic Campari bitter finished in specially selected casks previously used for Wild Turkey® American Bourbon, Appleton Estate® Jamaica Rum and Espolòn® Mexican Tequila.
Each expression has been masterfully created by Campari Group Italian Icons Herbalist & Master Blender, Bruno Malavasi, who has used his in-depth knowledge of each liquid and the processes used to create them. The casks have been carefully chosen to ensure the flavours from the previous liquids shine through, providing a new twist and depth to the signature DNA of Campari bitter. They have then been matured for 6 months allowing the complex profiles to surface in each expression without overpowering the classic Campari flavour.
Campari Cask Tales Bourbon Finish sees a mind-blowing mix of herbs and spices blended with aromatic hints of citrus and cherry. The use of rich high-char, ex-Wild Turkey American oak barrels imparts sweet creamy vanilla and caramel notes that cleverly balance the bitterness for a well-rounded finish.
Campari Cask Tales Rum Finish transports us deep into the Nassau Valley, Jamaica with hints of Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum bringing tropical and harmonious notes of vanilla and sweet wood for a gentle bittersweet balance.
Lastly, Campari Cask Tales Tequila Finish is finished in ex-Espolòn casks that bring a completely new twist to the classic aromatic bitter liqueur, imparting tart, herbal flavours with notes of pepper and citrus.
