One of the smallest of the Grandes Marques this family-owned estate produces award-winning Champagne. Not having the big marketing budget of some of the larger houses Charles Heidsieck often seems to fly under the radar but it’s universally loved by all who work in the fine wine industry – as proven by the fact that between them the winemaking team have been named ‘Sparkling Winemaker of the Year’ at the International Wine Challenge 16 times.
The vegan-friendly Rosé Réserve has immense depth and complexity which is the house style. Charles Heidsieck age this non-vintage Champagne for at least three years before disgorging much longer than the legal requirement of 15 months. Crafted using 20% reserve wines and around 5% red wine made from Pinot Noir this cuvée is rich with immense depth of flavour. A gorgeous colour a cross between coral and antique rose this vibrant rosé displays notes of strawberry sorbet juicy peach spiced gingerbread redcurrant raspberry and cherry blossom. Silky smooth and wonderfully textured this fast becoming our go-to rosé Champagne especially as a breakfast treat with croissants and strawberry jam.
