This terrific drop was matured on the lees of 36 months (the legal minimum is 15 months) and crafted using a hefty proportion of wine aged in oak. Those winemaking efforts are what led Éric Lebel the former Chef de Cave and Deputy Director at Krug to once refer to Devaux as “the Krug of the Côte des Bar.” And that demonstrates just what high esteem this house is held in.
