Soft pink lipstick shimmering through raindrops, a hint of freesia in the air on fresh wet pavement, the sound of jazz piano, warmth with a faint scent of clove, a burning voice that croons “what have you done to my heart?”

Discothèque’s Upstairs Candle is made using fully traceable, sustainable, high-grade vegan wax comprised of an all-natural blend of soy and rapeseed oils formulated to melt in an even, slow burn. Formulated, crafted and hand-poured in the UK, it's designed to evoke that pure, deep bliss of the dance floor in fragrance as vibrant and layered as the glass that holds it, and the disco that inspired it.

Top: Violet Leaf, White Rose, Peach, Metallic

Heart: Freesia, Powder, Lilac, Fuchsia, Lily

Base: Clove, Tobacco, Cinnamon

Every step of the process is carefully curated, from wick to melt to finish. Discothèque candles are crafted and hand-poured in small batches in a UK atelier. The candles are made using fully traceable, sustainable, high- grade vegan wax, an all-natural blend of soy and rapeseed oils formulated to melt in an even, slow burn.

If the feeling is in the fragrance, and the disco is in the wax, then the glass is the neon sign over the door. Glowing in ombré. The signature three-colour gradient glass is crafted by hand. Each colour is individually hand-sprayed, and then heat-set, before the next pigment is applied, creating a layered effect, and making no two Discothèque glasses the same. These one-of-a-kind curios are meant to stay in your home long after your candle has burned.

45 hour burn time.

SKU No.: 4141026

Style No.: 982627

When lighting your candle for the first time, burn it for 2-3 hours, until the entire top layer of wax becomes liquid to the edges. This will prevent the wax from tunnelling and ensure it melts evenly all the way down.

Candles should not be burned for more than 4 hours at a time. Never leave a lit candle unattended or move it when the wax is still liquid. A candle is finished and shouldn’t be relit when 5-10 mm of wax remains, or the metal wick holder becomes visible.

The key to perfect candle-burning experience is a short wick. Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each burn. This will avoid smoking, unnecessary ash, and overheating of the glass.

Always make sure the candle is on an even, heat-resistant surface and not placed directly in front of drafts.

Discothèque's colour-layered glasses are pigmented by hand and meant to stay in your home long after your candle has burned. They can be repurposed and given a new life in a multitude of ways: cocktail glass, succulent vase, decorative object, piece of a greater art piece, holder of jewellery or other miscellaneous objects of your choosing. Once the candle has burned down to 5-10 mm of wax remaining, put the vessel in the freezer for several hours. Take it out and the last bit of wax will pop right out.
