The 26th blended whisky expression from the Forest Distillery is crafted and distilled using Cheshire barley and oats with wild yeast and the distillery's own spring water. It’s matured in oak barrels in cellars below the iconic Cat and Fiddle Inn, before being blended with other whiskies and finished in new English oak casks in the distillery’s own cellars.
Expect bright, fresh lemon meringue aromas on the nose with sweet honeycomb, soft butter and green apple crumble notes teasing the tastebuds. The smooth whisky’s sweetness is balanced with the gentle undertones of English oak and spice finishing with soft wood and burnt matchsticks.
This standout whisky has received a Masters Award at the World Whisky Masters where our very own Buyer, Nick Larsson-Bell, was a judge. Presented at 47% ABV in handmade porcelain bottles by Wade Ceramics and glazed with a papercut by the artist Georga Lowe, this is an exciting and unique blend to try for any whisky aficionado – particularly one that is interested in the growing category of English whiskies.
