This case of ten contains two bottles of each of the following five flavours:
- Harvey Nichols Raspberry & Mint Tonic Water 2 x 200ml: Tart berry fruit on the nose evokes summer scrumping, before leading on to a crisp finish reminiscent of fresh mint tea or a well-crafted Pimm’s. We recommend experimenting with this luscious mixer, but fruit-driven gins and pink gins, or even something more unusual like aquavit or cachaça.
- Harvey Nichols Orange & Lavender Tonic Water 2 x 200ml: Zesty and punchy without being overwhelming, it opens with intense orange oil and finishes with dry Provençal lavender. It works exceptionally well with robust gins with higher ABVs, but also with younger expressions of Cognac.
- Harvey Nichols Cucumber & Lime Tonic Water 2 x 200ml: As refreshing as a cold shower, this is the driest in the range, opening with crunchy cucumber aromas before leading on to a zesty lime juice finish. A fine choice for pairing with London Dry gins and herb or citrus-led expressions, or even something more adventurous like bianco-style vermouth.
- Harvey Nichols Elderflower & Pomegranate Tonic Water 2 x 200ml: Subtle and summery, this displays that unmistakable blossom fragrance and the tartness of pomegranate jewels popping in your mouth. Mix it this floral mixer with aromatic gins or the delicate side of Tequila and Mezcal.
- Harvey Nichols Classic Tonic Water 2 x 200ml: Our Spirits Buyer, Nick Larsson-Bell (Retail Buyer of the Year 2022), worked painstakingly on the flavour combination of this tonic water. In the final recipe, punchy quinine is rounded out by soft and sun-kissed notes of juicy orange. We love it with citrus-led gins such as Tanqueray or those with slightly higher ABVs like Procera or Monkey 47. Alternatively, Tequila, fruity whisky or younger expressions of Cognac would also be fun choices if you’re feeling adventurous.
We searched the length and breadth of the British Isles for the perfect partner to create this tonic and found Claire Rennie in the tiny Aberdeenshire’s parish of Pitsligo. Her company, Summer House Drinks, are masters of their art, growing many of the botanicals used in their own walled garden and using no artificial colours, flavours, sweeteners or preservatives.
