This champion Chablis grown on age-old vines by master of the appellation Alain Geoffroy is a classic of the genre. Dry and fabulously well-balanced, it’s perfect with platters of fruits de mer and lovely light meat dishes.
Established in 1850, this family-run estate tends around 45 hectares of vines and is one of our absolute favourites – they also make the Harvey Nichols Chablis Premier Cru. This unoaked style is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes picked from 20- to 40-year-old vines and is vinified in stainless steel to accentuate the wine’s regional characteristics.
Our Chablis Premier Cru is wonderful for special occasions, but this stunning Chablis is fast becoming our go-to weekday white. More fruit-driven and forward than its Premier Cru counterpart, the Harvey Nichols Chablis presents notes of crunchy green apple, lemon zest, pear sorbet, lime blossom, hawthorn, frosty herbs and a little quince jelly stretching out into a classic Chablis finish with impressive minerality and a deeply refreshing acidity. If feels kind of like the vinous equivalent of a well-made gin and tonic; nothing else hits the mark quite like it.
