Highland Park’s multi-award-winning 12 Year Old Single Malt has received a glamorous new bottle and a moniker that pays tribute to the heritage of the island’s ancestors – the distillery was founded by Magnus Eunson a descendant of the early Viking settlers.
Aged predominantly in European Sherry casks this classic dram begins with the sweetness spice and fruit of Christmas cake pineapple upside-down cake lemon drizzle cake and marmalade. It then moves on to remind you that although there may well be Vikings here Orkney is still part of Scotland as demonstrated by the heather honey sea spray and peat smoke. This is an incredibly food-friendly dram so it's an honour to raise a glass with Scottish game sticky ginger cake creamy cheeses or Japanese unagi. Skol.
