These terms and conditions apply to gift cards purchased online via the Harvey Nichols UK website (www.harveynichols.com) as well as gift cards purchased in a Harvey Nichols store in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, and our OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie. Harvey Nichols reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so. Use of your Harvey Nichols gift card constitutes acceptance of our terms and conditions so please take the time to read them carefully. These terms and conditions were last updated on 2nd September 2024.
Harvey Nichols gift cards can be purchased in all stores in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, at our OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie, and online via the Harvey Nichols UK website. You can shop our range of gift cards here. Harvey Nichols gift cards can be purchased using any method of payment accepted by Harvey Nichols, with the exception of gift cards. Gift cards can be purchased in-store in both Pounds Sterling and Euros and upon redemption will be subject to the exchange rate in operation in the store on the date of redemption. The minimum purchase (initial and top-up) of a gift card in-store is £10.00 / €10.00. The maximum purchase of a gift card is £10,000 / €13,000 in a single transaction. A maximum gift card balance of £10,000 / €13,000 applies. Gift cards can only be purchased online in Pounds Sterling. The minimum purchase of a gift card online is £50.00. When purchasing a gift card (initial and top-up), points can be earned through the Rewards by Harvey Nichols Loyalty Program.
When you use a gift card in-store or online, the amount of your purchase will be deducted from the balance of the gift card. No change will be given, only the amount debited from the balance. If the total value of your purchase is less than the value of the gift card, the remaining balance will be left on the gift card for you to spend in future. Gift cards cannot be refunded, exchanged for cash, or used as payment to purchase another gift card or gift experience. Sale promotions and/or discounts cannot be applied to the purchase or top-up of a gift card.
Harvey Nichols gift cards can be redeemed in all stores in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, our OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie, and online via the Harvey Nichols UK website. Gift cards cannot be redeemed in our international stores. Gift cards can be used to pay for the whole or any part of an in-store purchase or online order. A gift card can be used in an unlimited number of transactions as the cardholder chooses until the balance is fully depleted or the card expires. Each time a purchase is made with a gift card, the transaction receipt will include an updated gift card balance. When redeeming a gift card online, the available balance will be displayed. If your gift card balance is not sufficient to cover the total value of items purchased, the remaining transaction value will need to be settled via any method of payment accepted by Harvey Nichols. Gift cards can be redeemed when placing a telephone/mail order over the telephone with any of our UK stores. Gift Cards can be redeemed in both Pound Sterling and Euros. When redeeming a gift card, points will not be earned through the Rewards by Harvey Nichols Loyalty Program.
Any refunds of items purchased using a Harvey Nichols gift card will be refunded onto a gift card in accordance with our standard Harvey Nichols Refund Policy. This does not affect your statutory rights. When refunding an item(s) from a purchase where the payment was made using multiple tenders, the amount paid by Harvey Nichols gift card will be honoured as a preference, and any remaining refund balance will be paid in cash and/or credit/debit card.
When using a Harvey Nichols gift card, the updated balance will be displayed at the bottom of your receipt. You may also check the balance of a gift card in store at any till point, online here or by contacting Customer Services.
Harvey Nichols cannot accept responsibility for your gift card if it is lost, stolen, damaged, or used without your permission. Gift cards must be treated like cash and Harvey Nichols will not accept responsibility in such instances. If your gift card is lost, stolen or damaged, please call Customer Services immediately. Please inform Customer Services of the gift card barcode number located on the back of the gift card or the order number if purchased online. We advise customers to take note of the barcode number upon the purchase of a gift card. Your card will be suspended and the balance at the time of contacting Customer Services may be replaced at the discretion of the Customer Services Management. Customer Services will only be able to provide assistance where the full gift card barcode number can be provided. Harvey Nichols will cancel the value of the gift card if we fail to receive full payment from the purchaser’s credit/debit card provider. Further action may be taken where fraudulent payment is suspected. We reserve the right to refuse to accept a gift card which we reasonably believe has been tampered with, duplicated, or which otherwise is suspected to be affected by fraud. The re-sale of Harvey Nichols gift cards is strictly prohibited.
Harvey Nichols gift cards purchased in the UK are valid for a period of 24 months from the date of activation (which for in-store shall be the date of purchase, and for online, the date of dispatch of your order) following which they will expire automatically. Gift cards purchased in-store in the Republic of Ireland are valid for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase. Gift cards cannot be used after the expiry date and any remaining balance will be removed and the card will become invalid and no longer available to use. It is the responsibility of the recipient to ensure that any balance is used in full prior to expiry. The activation period will automatically renew when the gift card is topped up. Partial redemption of the card does not extend the expiry of the card and any remaining balance. If you wish to check the expiry date of your gift card please contact Customer Services.
