Jameson was established in 1780 by John Jameson and today represents the world’s biggest selling Irish whisky. Renowned for its smoothness and soft balance the whiskies produced are triple distilled and blended before being aged in oak for a number of years before release. Jameson Select Reserve is the newest member of the Jameson family and is a triple distilled blend of rich pot still and grain whiskeys. Like Jameson it is also matured in a mixture of sherry casks and American oak barrels but the bourbon barrels used in Select Reserve are toasted and charred to a greater degree. In addition the grain whiskey used is a special small batch spirit – which imparts a greater character and depth of flavour – and each cask that goes in to the blend is handpicked. The resulting whiskey delivers the classic Jameson smooth taste but with enhanced flavours of spice nuts vanilla and dried fruit. A rich and smooth taste experience and a super example of Irish whiskey.
