Château de Laubade Armagnac 1994 is a vintage Armagnac produced by the esteemed Château de Laubade distillery in Gascony, France. The 105 hectares of vineyards are situated in the top growth Bas Armagnac region. Here the grape varieties Ugni Blanc, Baco, Colombard and Folle Blanche are cultivated using organic methods, before being vinified and then distilled at the château. With vintages and ageing stock dating back to 1855, Château de Laubade is renowned in the French and export markets for producing the highest quality Armagnac and is a benchmark for the region.
The 1994 vintage is a single harvest blend of Baco, Ugni Blanc and Folle Blanche creating a vibrant and fruity Armagnac that is delicate, spicy and layered. Bursting with spicy notes and toasted oak alongside cigar box, dark chocolate and floral undertones, this Armagnac sings with complexity. The big, rich and powerful expression erupts with notes of plum, apricot, pain au chocolate and a little more spice before leading off into a long, lingering and elegantly moreish finish. The 1994 vintage is a real showstopper and whether drunk by an enthusiast or connoisseur, its exceptional quality and elegance will command respect and enjoyment.
