Following the success of their limited-edition release to mark the Queen’s Jubilee in 2022, the team at Nyetimber have now launched a new bottle to celebrate the Coronation of His Royal Highness Charles III on 6th May 2023.
The Coronation Edition Classic Cuvée has been dressed in an iridescent oyster-coloured sleeve decorated with golden graphics and a patriotic Union Jack. King Charles III is renowned for being a committed environmentalist, so this eco-friendly bottle features fully recyclable packaging, including a discreet perforation that allows the sleeve to be separated from the glass. It’s the perfect way to herald the beginning of the new Carolean era.
Nyetimber is one of the UK’s most celebrated sparkling wine producers, crafting wines that rival the very best in the world – including Champagne. Established in West Sussex over 30 years ago, Nyetimber was amongst the first producers of English sparkling wine to use only the three main grape varieties favoured in Champagne: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
The Classic Cuvée is a lovely pale gold wine with great clarity and tiny refined bubbles. Aromas of lemon, orange peel, melon and vanilla are most prominent on the nose. Fresh apricot, toast, almond croissant, honey, baked apple and hazelnut flavours define the palate alongside a lovely tiny bubble texture.
