In 1963 the Peroni family decided to create a beer befitting Italy’s rich culinary history. Having nailed that with Peroni Nastro Azzuro they decided to create a gluten-free version. Crafted from the same ingredients as the classic – including their own Nostrano dell’Isola maize grown in the small town of Bergamo malted barley and a combination of Saaz-Saaz and Hallertau Magnum hops chosen for their refreshing citrus aromas – they simply add an enzyme to remove the gluten. The result is crisp and gently spiced with balanced bitterness and a clean finish. On top of which it comes endorsed by the Italian Coeliac Association.
