Sugrue’s The Trouble with Dreams delivers a sophisticated and characterful example of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blend, crafted from vines grown on the Mount Harry, Coldharbour and Storrington Priory vineyards. With mineral geology at its core, Sugrue’s signature cuvée is more than just a bottle of bubbles, but also a testament to the South Downs’ unique terroir and Sugrue’s commitment to perfection.

The blend delivers distinct minerality, incredible fruit ripeness, floral nuances and structural complexity creating an elegant and precise wine that has garnered huge critical acclaim. Fermentation is split between 500 litre Burgundy barrels and stainless steel and the wine then spends 4 years sur lie to ensure a compelling texture and finesse. The vegan friendly cuvée can be as easily drunk on its own or with food and pairs brilliantly with rich seafood, grilled fish and creamy pasta.

Founded in 2006 by winemaker Dermot Sugrue, and located in the South Downs, Sugrue produces exceptional English sparkling wine with grapes sourced from Storrington Priory, Mount Harry, Coldharbour and most recently Bee Tree Vineyards. Sugrue wines are crafted using traditional methods, with a focus on terroir driven production, highlighting the unique chalky soils of the region. Their flagship wine, Trouble with Dreams, has won multiple awards and consistently receives critical acclaim.
