Described by Charles Dickens as “the queerest place with the strangest people in it leading the oddest live” the town of Harrogate does things a little differently as demonstrated by its Slingsby Gin. It’s named after William Slingsby an English adventurer who discovered Harrogate’s Tewit Well in the late 1500s. Impressed by the quality of the local natural spring water he opened it as a spa that attracted visitors from far and wide to the area.
